About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fitter & Machinest & Instruments Assembly professional to join our team at IDM Instruments Pty Ltd. This full-time role is based in our Hallam, Victoria office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the Machining & assembly and testing of our high-quality instruments and machinery.

What you'll be doing

Assemble a variety of machines and instruments to customer specifications

Conduct thorough testing and quality checks to ensure all products meet our high standards

Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the assembly process and implement solutions

Maintain detailed records and documentation throughout the assembly and testing phases

Collaborate with the wider team to optimise assembly workflows and identify areas for improvement

Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Proven experience in machine and instrument assembly,

Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret assembly manuals and specifications

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills in Electrical

Wiring

Skills in Fitting and Machining

Pneumatics

Skills in Fabrication
