Vicon Electric Motor Repairs is an Australian family owned business in Coburg, Victoria for over 44 years. Vicon is a well-established company that provides solutions in electro-mechanical engineering, primarily in relation to rotating machinery. Vicon has been servicing the manufacturing, packaging, food, beverage, mining industries etc with high quality repairs and rebuilds of AC and DC electric motors and associated electric powered equipment.

We are currently seeking an experienced trade qualified hands on Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Coburg.

JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

Applicant will be required to perform repairs and maintenance of electric motors, gear boxes etc…

Mechanical aptitude to disassemble and assemble motors, diagnose faults, replace bearings, seals, gears etc…

Ensure that the quality of all repairs and rebuilds completed conforms to the required specifications and to the company's quality systems.

Ability to work in a team environment and to support others, as well as work solo.

High level of housekeeping to ensure that the workshop is maintained in a clean and safe state

The successful candidate will need to have:

Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical experience considered an advantage, but not essential. On site training provided.

Good work ethics, be reliable and have a high level of attention to detail is a pre requisite

Ability to work under pressure, to agreed time frames

Effective communication skills both verbal and written
