About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in Narrabri. This is a full-time role offering a mix of workshop and field service work, supporting a modern fleet across multiple project sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
Perform field service work and emergency breakdown support on-site
Rebuild components and conduct mechanical inspections
Maintain accurate records using electronic job and maintenance systems
Manage parts and consumables
Liaise with supervisors and clients to schedule work and ensure timelines are met
Maintain safety standards, tools, and workspaces
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Proven experience with heavy diesel equipment, plant or fleet maintenance
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Current Class C driver’s licence (HR licence preferred)
Willingness to travel to worksites as required
Excellent communication and time management skills
Desirable (Advantageous):
Civil construction or mining industry experience
High-Risk Work Licences (EWP, dogging, etc.)
Relevant RII qualifications (e.g., RIIEX, RIIWHS)
Experience using CMMS or digital maintenance systems
