Blueshift Consulting is a leading corporate advisory and management consulting firm dedicated to driving impact across the blue economy & environmental sectors. We specialise in providing expert guidance in areas such as fisheries, aquaculture, marine ecosystems, carbon & nature-based solutions, and food production systems. Our team is committed to delivering innovative solutions and generating positive change within the blue economy.

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Consultant to join our team in Perth. The successful candidate will support government and industry by providing science-based insights, policy recommendations, and strategic guidance on fisheries management, aquaculture development, and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct environmental, economic, and technical assessments for fisheries, aquaculture, and coastal development projects.

Study and analyse environmental and ecological data, including water quality, pollution, and marine resource assessments.

Advise industry stakeholders, government departments, and Indigenous/First Nations communities on aquaculture, fisheries and marine resource management.

Assist in developing policies, strategies, and codes of practice that support fisheries and aquaculture operations and management.

Conduct environmental audits and prepare detailed reports, including concept and feasibility studies to support a range of development projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, or a related field.

Although not essential, a master's degree in Environmental Science or a related field will be highly valued.

At least 1 year of experience in environmental consulting or a related role.

Additional experience in similar occupations will be viewed favourably.

Strong analytical and research skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in scientific and technical writing, data analysis and presentation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
