Role PurposeKey Responsibilities

• Operate packing machinery and associated equipment in line with production schedules and standard operating procedures.
• Set up and adjust packing lines for different products and formats to ensure accurate, efficient operation.
• Monitor the packing process to maintain product quality, consistency, and correct labelling and coding.
• Perform start-up, in-process, and end-of-run quality checks to verify weight, seal integrity, packaging appearance, and compliance with specifications.
• Complete production and packing records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Clean and sanitise packing machines, conveyors, and work areas according to hygiene and food safety standards.
• Handle materials and finished goods safely, coordinating with warehouse and production teams for smooth workflow.
• Identify and report equipment faults, product issues, or process deviations to the Production Supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to all company safety, quality, and compliance policies, including HACCP, GMP, and OH&S standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, minimise waste, and improve overall product quality.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a packing operator or production operator in a food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
• Ability to follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality control procedures accurately.
• Competent in operating and adjusting packing machinery, with basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor issues.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Physically fit, able to lift and handle packaging materials and finished goods safely.
• Basic computer literacy for entering production data (experience with ERP systems advantageous).
• Reliable, team-oriented, and proactive with good communication and problem-solving skills.
