JMW Legal is seeking a part time Family Law Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PAE. In this role, you will work closely with the principal and a senior family law solicitor and be assisted by two law clerks/university law students. You will be supported to advance your career. The role is family friendly, with the office hours from 9am to 4pm. Days of work are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

JMW Legal has been in business for 17 years and practices only in Family Law and Succession Law.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide high quality legal advice and representation to clients in Family Law matters, including property settlements, divorce, parenting and domestic violence matters.

Maintain accurate and detailed records and file notes, manage deadlines and comply with all legal procedures and Rules of Court.

Negotiate with solicitors and self-represented parties in order to settle matters in the clients' best interests.

Draft legal documentation, correspondence and other Court documents.

Appear in Court as required to advocate for clients and instruct Counsel as needed.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A passionate Solicitor with experience in Family Law.

At least 3 years PAE.

Someone who has outstanding communication and client service skills.

Someone who prides themselves on working autonomously and as a part of a team.

Someone who has the confidence to take proactive steps to progress matters.

The role is for three days per week. The anticipated working hours are from 9am to 4pm, however there is flexibility to suit outside office commitments. Priority for school holiday leave is given to employees with school age children and attendances at school events are supported.

Knowledge of Leap is an advantage.
