The Opportunity

As Assistant Manager, you will support the General Manager in all facets of club operations. You will act as a key leader across departments with a particular focus on gaming and food & beverage, ensuring compliance, team development, rostering, budgeting profitability, member satisfaction and staff culture.

You will:

Oversee daily operations and act as Manager on Duty when required

assist in recruiting, training, supervising and coaching staff

Monitor performance metrics (sales, costs, budgets) and drive improvement

Ensure compliance with our EBA, liquor licensing, food safety, gaming legislation and relevant regulations

Assist in budgeting, cost control, stock management, rostering and procurement

Support our General, Bistro, Functions and Administration Managers

Foster a positive team culture, ensuring staff are motivated, engaged and operating to standard

Liaise with external authorities and stakeholders as needed

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a management or assistant management role in a licensed club, hotel, or hospitality venue

Experience in gaming reconciliation and time an attendance, with System one and Deputy

An interest in Profit and loss, budgets, cost control, inventory

Excellent leadership and people management skills

Outstanding customer service and problem-solving abilities

Strong communication, organisation and time management

Relevant certifications (RSA, RSG and Victorian Gaming Licence)
