Italia Lane, an upscale modern Italian restaurant located in Brisbane's vibrant Fortitude Valley, recently voted Best Pizza Restaurant and Best Casual Dining in South East Qld, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Assist in preparing dishes with precision, adhering to recipes and maintaining high standards.

Station Management: Take charge of the pasta station, overseeing all aspects of pasta preparation—from fresh pasta and sauces to final plating

Kitchen Supervision: Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality.

Food Presentation: Ensure all dishes are meticulously plated and presented to meet both menu and kitchen standards.

Kitchen Operations: Contribute to the effective and efficient running of the kitchen, managing tasks and maintaining consistency.

Menu Development: Assist in menu planning and the creation of innovative dishes.

Staff Development: Support the growth of junior staff, providing guidance and training.

Lead by Example: Uphold the highest standards in both kitchen operations and staff conduct.

Requirements:

Diploma level qualification or at least 2 years experience in a similar role within an Italian restaurant.

Strong culinary knowledge with a creative and innovative approach to cooking.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

A genuine passion for exceptional food and a keen eye for high-quality presentation.

Proactive with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Professional appearance and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
