Key Responsibilities.

Kitchen Hand supports the day-to-day operation of the Clover Hill kitchen and supports the Head Chef with all kitchen duties at the Clover Hill Cellar Door.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following.

Maintain a hygienic and orderly kitchen environment, including cleaning of all kitchen surfaces and equipment in compliance with government and company standards.

Assist the Head Chef with food preparation tasks. These may include chopping vegetables, washing fruit, defrosting meat, and preparing sauces and marinades.

Assist with any other tasks as required, such as general cleaning of the cellar door building and additional accommodation properties on site.

Essential Requirements.

The successful candidate must be able to satisfactorily meet the essential requirements listed below (reasonable accommodations may be made).

Interpersonal skills: Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have the ability to communicate with all company personnel.

High attention to detail: Able to ensure that the details of the role are maintained at the required quality levels consistently.

Work Health & Safety (WHS) and Food Safety awareness: Must have an understanding of and be able to comply with industry and company standards, policies, and procedures.

Readiness to follow instructions: Must be ready to receive and follow instructions and seek clarification at any time where further understanding is required.

Ability to travel: Must possess a valid driver's licence.

Police Check certificate.

Must be available to work weekends.

Experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant is preferred.
