About the Role

Working with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL databases, this role enhances database capabilities, implements robust backup and disaster recovery strategies, and supports critical business applications. You will monitor and optimise performance, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to database modernisation and cloud migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances for high availability and performance
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise database performance across on-premises and cloud environments
• Develop, implement, and manage clustering, maintenance plans, and automated backups
• Manage and optimise SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI environments for reporting needs
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and changes
• Support database migration and modernisation projects to cloud platforms such as Azure

Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in SQL and T-SQL for database development and optimisation
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server products and Azure SQL databases
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting to automate database tasks
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues proactively
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI reporting environments

Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Existing Negative Vetting 2 security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
