About the Role

our client a leading government agency is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join their Information Management and Technology Division. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to large-scale data migration and cloud transformation initiatives in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases with a focus on high availability and performance.
• Monitor and optimise database performance using indexing, DVM, and third-party tools.
• Develop and manage clustering, automated backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Administer security configurations including certificate and access control management.
• Support and enhance SSAS/SSIS/SSRS and Power BI reporting environments.
• Troubleshoot hybrid and cloud performance issues across Azure and AWS platforms.
• Maintain detailed documentation for both on-premises and cloud environments.

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Always-On Availability Groups, and Azure SQL
• Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL and PowerShell
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Current NV2 clearance
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and DevOps methodologies
• SQL database development experience
