Dental Assistant / Receptionist

Location: Northern Suburbs, Melbourne
Hours: Casual (3-5 days per week, flexible)

Y3 Smiles Dental is a brand-new, modern dental clinic in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. We are seeking an enthusiastic Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team.

This role is perfect for someone who is friendly, motivated, and enjoys working in both clinical and front-desk settings. As we are a new clinic, you will also support the team with ad hoc tasks as directed by your supervisor, helping us build a welcoming and patient-centred practice.

Clinic location is walking distance from train station.

We open to consider DA and Receptionist applications separately as well, for the right candidate based on experience.

About the Role

Dental Assisting:

Provide chairside support to dentists during procedures

Set up and maintain clean, safe treatment rooms

Assist with sterilisation and infection control processes

Support patients with comfort and care during their visits

Reception:

Greet patients and manage appointments (booking, rescheduling, follow-ups)

Handle phone and email enquiries with professionalism

Process payments and assist with health fund claims

Perform general administrative tasks to support the clinic

What We’re Looking For

Completed Cert III in Dental Assisting

At least 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant and/or Receptionist in Australia

Strong understanding of infection control and dental procedures

Confident communication and excellent organisational skills

Team player with a proactive, positive attitude

Friendly, professional, and approachable personality
