About the role

Universal Smiles Dental is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in Mernda, VIC. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth running of our dental practice. This is a casual position, offering flexible working hours to suit your needs.

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists during procedures by passing instruments, suction, and other items as needed

Preparing and sterilising instruments and equipment before and after procedures

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

Greeting and welcoming patients, and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit

Performing basic administrative tasks, such as updating patient records and scheduling appointments

🔹 Position: Casual (with potential to become permanent)
🔹 Hours: 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm
🔹 Days: Monday to Friday

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental practice

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service

Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in using dental equipment and software

A passion for dentistry and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Relevant qualifications or certifications in dental assisting are preferred
