We are seeking a Senior Dental Assistant to join a leading dental practice located in Bentleigh. This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical expertise with leadership, mentoring, and team support responsibilities.

About the Role
As the Senior Dental Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clinicians across a wide range of treatments, while also mentoring junior staff and assisting with the smooth running of daily clinical operations. You will oversee infection control, coordinate surgery readiness, and act as a point of escalation within the team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-level chairside and clinical support to Dentists and Oral Health Therapists.

Mentor, train, and support junior Dental Assistants.

Oversee compliance with infection control and WHS standards.

Assist with stock management, laboratory coordination, and clinical preparation.

Collaborate with management on policies, procedures, and operational improvements.

Perform administrative and reception duties as required.

About You

Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (highly regarded).

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant.

Strong knowledge of general dentistry procedures, infection control, and clinical operations.

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

A professional, patient-focused approach with a commitment to high-quality care.

Experience with Oasis or similar systems is desirable.
