Responsibilities
Champion Health & Safety culture
Maintain and further develop MMA’s ISO 9001:2015, 45001:2018 and 14001:2015 Management Systems
Support onsite compliance through site and contractor inspections
Support communication consultation and participation through established communication plan and training schedule
Lead the implementation of the sites internal audit plan
Represent MMA as the Quality Management System (QMS) lead auditor
Lead injury management and return to work
Coordinate WorkSafe notifications, where required
Support the Leadership and Board through KPI tracking and reporting
Visit operational sites to engage with management and staff, gather feedback, and identify improvement opportunities
Lead training and communication to build HSEQ awareness across the organisation
Note: The role will not be directly responsible for all operational OHS compliance onsite
Key attributes
Minimum 3 years+ experience in a similar HSEQ role
Diploma in OHS or equivalent experience (desirable)
Internal audit qualifications (desirable)
Injury management and return to work experience (desirable)
Experience leading the implementation of ISO management systems

Melbourne Market is Victoria’s wholesale fruit, vegetable and cut flower trading centre, one of six central fresh produce markets in Australia.
Operating from a new purpose built facility on a 60-hectare site at Epping, the Market provides the critical link between growers, wholesalers, retailers and the fresh produce supply chain.
More than 4,000 businesses use the Market as a base, buying and selling fresh produce in the early hours of the morning for distribution across Victoria and Australia.
Over 1,800 individual fruit and vegetable buyers, representing independent greengrocers, supermarkets, restaurants and food processors, source their produce direct from the Market. Many more receive deliveries and consignments from the Market.
