Indigeco is working with an independent national standards body for medical education and training to recruit a Cultural Strategic Coordinator – Indigenous Policy and Programs. This position plays a pivotal role in embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Māori voices, perspectives, and knowledge across the organisation’s strategy, policies, and programs.

About the Role

• Drive the implementation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Māori Strategy across all business areas.
• Coordinate consultations with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and Māori leaders, communities, and organisations.
• Assist in project deliverables, policy development, and strategic reporting.
• Lead and facilitate internal cultural safety initiatives, including training, communications, and yarning circles.
• Support major events such as NAIDOC Week, Sorry Day, and Reconciliation Week.
• Maintain and promote culturally safe spaces in organisational workshops and meetings.

About You

• Identified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with strong community connections.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and Māori Peoples.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with policy or project experience desirable.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, plan effectively, and deliver results.
• Skilled in workshop, meeting, or event coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Canva).
• Flexibility to travel interstate as required.
