Indigeco is partnering with a leading national organisation seeking a People and Culture Coordinator to champion cultural safety, inclusion, and strategic recruitment practices across their workforce. This position is ideal for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander professional passionate about integrating Indigenous perspectives into HR frameworks and organisational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply a cultural safety lens across all recruitment and employee lifecycle processes.
• Co-design and implement strategies to embed Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and Māori cultural principles within People & Culture initiatives.
• Provide culturally informed advice and support to hiring panels and internal teams.
• Lead projects and process improvements that promote fairness, inclusion, and self-determination.
• Engage with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, leaders, and organisations to ensure diverse perspectives shape workforce strategy.
• Support and coordinate staff training, yarning circles, and initiatives that strengthen organisational cultural safety.
• Assist in developing and implementing inclusive policies and systems to enhance equity and belonging.

About You

• Identified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with demonstrated connection to community and culture.
• Experience in People & Culture or HR roles, ideally with a focus on recruitment or diversity and inclusion.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and policy development.
• Strong communicator with high attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms such as Employment Hero or similar.
• Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
