Are you an experienced Personnel Security Vetting Officer with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to integrity? Our client, a leading Federal Government Department is seeking motivated professionals to join their high-performing unit.

In this role, you will contribute directly to Australia’s national security by undertaking personnel vetting up to the NV2 level, conducting quality assurance activities, and providing expert advice to support the Departments key business outcomes.

What you’ll do:

As part of the team and under the supervision of the Assistant Director Vetting, you will:

• Conduct personnel security vetting in line with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and procedures.
• Provide well-considered advice on clearance outcomes while being open to feedback and continuous improvement.
• Assess and manage complex cases, producing high-quality written assessments.
• Manage a Quality Assurance (QA) caseload, ensuring alignment with the PSPF standards, including collaboration with external service providers.
• Balance shifting priorities in a high-tempo environment while meeting strict deadlines.
• Provide additional support across security functions, including inbox management and change-of-circumstance assessments.

Mandatory qualifications and clearances:

• Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting)
• A minimum of NV1 security clearance
