Our client, a very large, Federal Government Organisation, responsible for foreign policy, relations & trade, are seeking experienced Personnel Security Vetting Officers to conduct complex security assessments and quality assurance up to NV2 level in a high-tempo, office-based environment.

Duties of the Personnel Security Vetting Officers

• Undertake security vetting in accordance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and standard government operating procedures, utilising tools including a case management system and other government systems as necessary;
• Assess and manage complex assessment work and prepare relevant documentation to a high standard;
• Manage a Quality Assurance (QA) caseload, including in partnership with established service providers, which aligns to the PSPF and government quality assurance standards;
• Undertake other administrative support or security functions, such as inbox management and assessment of change of circumstance forms.

Skills and Experience Required

• Cert IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting);
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to liaise professionally with a wide range of stakeholders;
• High level of integrity and a commitment to the APS values and APS Code of Conduct.
