Job Description:

• Lead the design and delivery of large-scale defence and secure facility projects from concept to completion.
• Ensure compliance with Defence, security, and government standards across all design phases.
• Provide design leadership, technical oversight, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with stakeholders including Defence, government agencies, and consultants to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Mentor and support junior architects and project team members, fostering professional growth.
• Manage project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
• Contribute to business development by supporting bids, proposals, and client presentations.
• Drive innovation in design processes, materials, and technologies to meet evolving defence needs.
• Maintain documentation, quality assurance, and project governance in line with internal systems.
• Play a key role in promoting health, safety, and sustainability principles within project delivery.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Registered Architect with significant experience in Defence or secure government projects.
• Strong knowledge of Defence estate guidelines, security requirements, and compliance standards.
• Proven track record in leading the design of large and complex facilities, ideally across defence, aerospace, or secure infrastructure.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at senior levels.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM, and other architectural design tools.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Experience contributing to business development, proposals, and tender submissions.
• A collaborative and proactive approach, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Australian citizenship with eligibility for security clearance (essential).
