As Team Leader, Accounts Receivable, you’ll drive service excellence and build trusted partnerships across the University to support financial success. In this role you will:

  • Lead and support a team of Accounts Receivable professionals to deliver timely and accurate invoicing, receipting, debt recovery, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the University to provide expert advice, resolve issues, and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Support the Manager Financial Accounting (Treasury and Revenue) to ensure high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor outstanding debts, implement recovery strategies, and escalate high-risk accounts in line with policy and compliance requirements.

This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land).

The remuneration for this position is from $93,929 to $103,641 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  1. Extensive experience and broad knowledge in accounts receivable fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training; or completion of a degree in business, accounting, or other relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience.
  2. Demonstrated team leadership capability including the ability to supervise a team of professional staff.
  3. Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements that add value to an organisation.
  4. Experience using corporate accounting systems/software (e.g. TechnologyOne), including Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  5. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to deliver innovative solutions.
  6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills including the capacity to build relationships.
