Position Overview
Omega Medical has over 14 years’ experience in locum recruitment across Australia, partnering with hospitals, health services, and medical practices nationwide.
We’re looking for a Team Leader for our Locum Recruitment Division in Sydney a hands-on billing role with leadership responsibilities. This position offers a genuine pathway to Divisional Manager, giving you the chance to step up and take on broader responsibility as the division grows.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and support a team of locum consultants while maintaining your own billing portfolio.
Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to drive team performance.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture.
Recruitment & Client Management
Manage end-to-end recruitment, from job briefing through to placement.
Build and expand client relationships across hospitals and healthcare providers.
Act as a trusted advisor, tailoring solutions to meet client workforce needs.
Support consultants with challenging roles, clients, or negotiations.
Business Development & Growth
Identify new business opportunities and contribute to divisional growth strategies.
Drive revenue growth through personal billings and team performance.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adapt approaches.
Operations & Compliance
Ensure compliance across all recruitment activity, contracts, and placements.
Maintain accurate reporting on activity, margins, and performance.
Collaborate with senior management to align divisional goals with company strategy.
Skills & Experience
Proven success as a Senior/Principal Consultant or Team Leader (healthcare recruitment preferred).
Track record of consistent billings and client relationship management.
Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to coach and develop others.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and commercial skills.
Ability to balance billing with leadership duties in a high-volume environment.
