The Opportunity

Our client is a highly regarded private equity firm with a proven track record of success. Known for its disciplined investment approach and active portfolio management, the firm operates with a dynamic, collaborative culture and a reputation for excellence.

Based in Sydney’s CBD, this opportunity sits within a lean, high-calibre finance team and offers broad exposure across fund accounting, corporate reporting, tax compliance, investor relations, and transactions.

This is a key role that would suit a technically strong and commercially astute accountant, looking to deepen their experience in private equity or investment
management.

The Challenge
Reporting directly to the Fund Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and board reports across multiple entities
• Oversight of BAS, tax returns, and all ATO compliance matters
• Review of NAVs, capital calls, distributions and fund expenses prepared by the external fund administrator
• Support investor reporting, liaising with stakeholders and responding to queries
• Coordinate year-end statutory accounts and audit processes
• Liaise with external tax, legal, and audit advisors
• Contribute to structuring advice and financial due diligence for new transactions
• Champion process improvement across reporting, controls, and systems

The Expertise
You should consider applying if you have:

• CA qualification and 5–8 years’ experience in chartered (Big 4 or mid-tier), private equity, or funds management
• Strong technical grounding in financial reporting, tax, and compliance
• Understanding of fund structures and investor reporting
• Commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
• Excellent communication skills and comfort dealing with senior stakeholders
