Grade: 9/10 Salary: $129,464 - $142,665+ super and leave loading

In this role you will:
- Provide high-quality and timely accounting technical and professional advice in line with Australian Accounting Standards and financial legislation, including the Government Sector Finance Act 2018 and NSW Treasury directions, policies, and guidance
- Conduct research, analysis, and consultations to develop sound and well-reasoned advice, and support business teams in developing and implementing this advice
- Contribute to the development of financial policies, procedures and guidance materials, and ensure they incorporate agency and public sector considerations
- Oversee financial governance and compliance frameworks, including internal controls related to financial information, and manage the implementation and delivery of the TPG24-08 CFO Certification on the Internal Control Framework over Financial Systems and Information
- Manage day-to-day relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing issues to ensure the smooth achievement of assigned activities and deliverables.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Full membership with CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ)
- A minimum of two years of experience in a similar finance role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, interpret, and apply technical requirements of relevant professional standards, accounting concepts and financial legislation
- Excellent stakeholder management, effective communication (both written and verbal), and demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Sound professional judgment to address or escalate issues in the absence of clear methods or procedures
- Self-motivated problem solver with a proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $129,464 base plus superannuation
