This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an exciting new program working with Persons Using Violence (PUVs) as part of the Electronic Monitoring Pilot program in Townsville.

💰 Level 5 SCHADS Award ($51.00 - $53.31/hour) + salary packaging & generous leave

🔍 About the Role
About the Role: What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our Prevention Team, you’ll:
Conduct risk and suitability assessments for participants of a behaviour change program
Facilitate group behaviour change programs including Men’s Behaviour Change and Turning Points group programs
Engage in case management with PUVs – providing information and completing referrals to address intersecting needs (i.e. mental health, homelessness, drugs and alcohol etc.)
Complete individual counselling and one-on-one work with the aim to work toward group readiness
Deliver information to respondents in court
Maintain ongoing engagement with participants to support accountability and change
Prepare high-quality reports and documentation for stakeholders including courts and corrections
Promote safety, respect and responsibility in all aspects of your work
Build and foster collaborative partnerships with other agencies and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For – Selection Criteria
We’re after someone with heart, courage and capability — someone who:
Has a relevant tertiary qualification (or 5 years of experience in human services)
Has worked a minimum of 3 years’ full-time experience in a relevant human services discipline
Understands the drivers and dynamics of DFV and the behaviour change process
Demonstrates an understanding of the ways in which children are harmed through experiencing DFV
Brings excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
Is ready to build strong community connections and foster meaningful change
Has experience in delivering group work, case management and/or individual counselling
