We are working exclusively with a well-established construction and property development group based in Sydney CBD, who are currently seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to join their high-performing finance team.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight: Manage accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

Reporting & Analysis: Deliver timely financial reports and develop financial models to support decision-making.

Budget Coordination: Lead and coordinate budgeting processes across departments and projects.

Cost Control: Monitor expenditures, assess subcontractor/vendor payments, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Variance Analysis: Provide detailed variance analysis with actionable recommendations.

Compliance & Audits: Ensure accuracy in P&L, BAS, payroll, and reconciliations; support audits and maintain internal controls.

Regulatory Updates: Stay current on financial regulations and accounting standards.

Strategic Support: Contribute to special projects and provide financial insights for business planning and improvement.

Requirements:

Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CA qualification preferred.

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, within the Property & Construction sector.

Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.

Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Proactive and commercially minded, with strong attention to detail.
