DENTAL ASSISTANT

Position Type: Part-Time (3 days per week) + Casual Opportunities Available

About the Role:

We're looking for an enthusiastic Dental Assistant to become part of our friendly practice team. This role is perfect for new graduates or recently qualified professionals eager to begin their dental career in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist dentists and hygienists during a variety of dental procedures

Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use

Provide chairside support and ensure patient comfort throughout appointments

Take and process dental radiographs as required

Manage instrument sterilization and infection control protocols

Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes

Coordinate with reception staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Order and manage dental supplies and materials

Support patients with post-treatment instructions and care advice

Essential Requirements:

Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or currently completing)

Recent graduates or soon-to-graduate candidates strongly encouraged to apply

Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills and friendly, approachable manner

Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
