Some of Brimbanks key attractions include its state-of-the-art performance space – the 'Bowery Theatre' in St Albans; and the worldclass 'Brimbank Aquatic and Wellness Centre' which features a 24-hour gym, waterslides, and heated Olympic sized swimming pools, along with a six green star rating for its innovative and sustainable design.
Brimbank is continuously growing, with many transformational infrastructure projects about to break ground. A key focus of the coming years will be working with the State and Federal Governments to establish Melbourne Airport Rail; to complete redevelopment of Sunshine and Albion Stations; and the realisation of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan which will Sunshine transformed into a CBD, vastly increasing local jobs, housing, businesses, services and tourism to provide for the many tens of thousands of people living, working and travelling through the Brimbank.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Project Management Office, we are seeking someone who is values-led and committed to high quality outcomes who can bring their skills and experience to:
- Build organisation capability in continuous improvement, integrating with project and change management practices.
- Develop and implement an organisational continuous improvement methodology, associated reference materials, tools, templates, training collateral, systems, processes and reporting.
- Build organisational capability in process mapping and lead the implementation of Business Process Mapping Software across Council.
- Establish the "Better Ways Lab" with clear protocols and reporting mechanisms to support visual management, collaboration and data driven decision making.
- Manage the continuous improvement program to achieve its objectives and performance targets.
- Drive and lead continuous improvement activities by providing expert advice, support, training and coaching to leaders to build performance improvement into planning.
To be considered you will have:
- Ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours
- Significant experience in continuous improvement within a complex environment, including experience in developing and delivering an organisation wide continuous improvement framework.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing or utilising process mapping tools across various teams and functions.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Improvement / Business Analysis / Service Design or related disciplines are desired. Candidates with less formal qualifications but years of relevant experience will be considered
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders and communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- High-level analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and management skills in order to lead a high performing continuous improvement team.
- Preferred – Demonstrated experience working in Business Improvement/ Continuous Improvement / Service Design / Change Management functions in a complex organisation such as local government.
