Mile End Bagels – Melbourne

Mile End Bagels is on the hunt for a Logistics & Dispatch Team Member (our behind-the-scenes legend) to join our team. Dispatch is a critical operations role that keeps our business running smoothly every single day. From stock management to dispatch, your work ensures our bagels reach our four cafes fresh and on time, and that our cafes are fully stocked and ready to go. We are offering part-time, with room for growth as the business continues to expand over the next 6–12 months.

What the Role Involves

Dispatch & Deliveries – Packing, loading, and delivering daily orders from our central bakery to multiple store locations in our company van.

Stock Management – Conducting regular stocktakes, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring accurate records.

Ordering & Procurement – Working with suppliers to order packaging, consumables, and ingredients, and ensuring deliveries are received and organised correctly.

Warehousing & Organisation – Maintaining our storage facility, keeping stock areas tidy and efficient, and implementing systems to streamline logistics.

Team Communication – Coordinating with store managers, bakery staff, and suppliers to ensure everything flows seamlessly.

About You

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

Reliable and punctual – you understand that logistics is about timing.

Physically capable – confident lifting, loading, and moving stock.

Licensed to drive – a valid driver’s licence is a must.

Organised and proactive – you notice what needs doing and get it done.

Clear communicator – able to coordinate with multiple people and teams.

Able to provide two working references.

Availability

Morning shifts: Mon-Thurs 5:30am: 1:00pm / Fri-Sun: 6:00am-1:00pm

Afternoon/evening shifts: Thurs-Sat: 4:00pm-9:00pm.
