As we continue to expand our Advanced NDT capabilities, ARI is seeking a competent and motivated Advanced NDT Technician to join our growing team in Western Australia. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone looking to contribute to challenging and rewarding projects across the power generation, mining, and fabrication sectors. You’ll be working with state-of-the-art equipment as part of a technically driven team that values innovation, precision, and safety.
This is a full-time position, with base hours of 38 hours per week, and an expectation of occasional overtime, shift work, and shutdowns, including FIFO and DIDO regional work.

Key Responsibilities
Perform a variety of conventional and advanced NDT techniques, including Phased Array (PAUT) and UT, as required
Demonstrate a commercial mindset with an interest in developing advanced capabilities and contributing to the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovative ideas
Analyse and interpret inspection results, delivering clear and accurate technical reports to clients
Ensure all testing activities are conducted in line with applicable standards, codes, and client specifications
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance testing procedures and practices
Essential Requirements
Experience performing NDT inspections in accordance with AS/ASME standards
Background in industrial or large-scale engineering environments
ISO9712 Level II NDT certification in UT and Phased Array.
Additional inspection methods would be advantageous, including MT, PT, ToFD, Eddy Current, Cert 10, ASME L1.
Good communication and teamwork skills
Solid understanding of Work Health & Safety (WH&S) and quality systems (ISO 9001 / ISO 17025)
Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated in remote or challenging environments
Reasonable level of physical fitness
Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
Manual Driver’s License
National Police Clearance
Current residency in, or willingness to relocate to, Western Australia
Remuneration:
The field of NDT is broad with individuals holding various levels of certifications. The remuneration package will depend on individual certifications/skill set, with a base wage ranging from $75-110k AUD plus super and overtime.
