A new chapter begins: introducing Blackbird Melbourne, the much-anticipated sister to our iconic Brisbane flagship. Celebrated for over a decade, Blackbird now brings its signature spirit to the heart of Melbourne, located at 66 Flinders Lane.

Newly opened in August, Blackbird Melbourne invites you into a world of sophisticated indulgence across three stunning levels. The journey begins at our street-level wine bar, where an intimate lounge offers a serene retreat from the city’s vibrant energy. Rich textures, contemporary design, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable experience.

With menus inspired by local flavours, featuring a solid fuel cooking line, dry-aged meats, exquisite seafood, and seasonal botanicals sourced from local artisans. It's a culinary adventure celebrating Victoria's dynamic food scene.

Key Responsibilities

Event Coordination: Assist in the execution of function and event service ensuring all details are managed efficiently and to the highest standard.

Oversee the service: ensuring that high standards are consistently met and assisting the team

Staffing levels: Plan and prepare for service periods and functions, ensuring staff levels are correct according to the anticipated level of business, monitoring breaks and calling in staff if needed.

Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate event staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations during events.

Client Liaison: Point of contact for clients during events, addressing any queries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Operational Support: Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all equipment and materials are handled appropriately.

Compliance: Ensure all events comply with relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Inventory Management: Assist in managing event related inventory, including decorations, equipment, and supplies, ensuring all items are correctly set up and maintain a good condition.

Proven leadership experience

Able to work well under pressure
