We’re looking for a talented Senior Landscape Architect to step into a leadership role within our Collingwood studio. This is a chance to join a creative practice dedicated purely to landscape architecture, working closely with some of Australia’s leading architects and developers, and shaping projects that range from intimate courtyards to large-scale urban landscapes.

You’ll play a pivotal role in both design and leadership – winning new work, nurturing client relationships, guiding our team, and delivering high-quality outcomes from concept through to completion.

About us

Founded in 2012, Acre is a small but dynamic team with a love for architecture, design, and the emotive qualities of planting. We collaborate with leading architects and developers across Melbourne and interstate, designing landscapes that are robust, timeless, and distinctly Acre.

About you and the role

You’ll bring curiosity, design talent, and creative insight, with the ability to translate Acre’s design DNA into projects of all scales. You’ll be confident mentoring and guiding a team, providing design leadership, and managing projects with clarity and professionalism.

You’ll work directly with clients, architects, and developers, navigating projects from concept through to construction. With your eye for design, knowledge of plants and materials, and solid technical background, you’ll help ensure every project is both beautiful and buildable.

Duties

Drive business development and help secure new projects alongside the Creative Director and Studio Manager

Manage client relationships from briefing to completion

Lead and mentor team members, building skills and confidence across the studio

Design, document, and deliver projects across residential, multi-residential, and commercial sectors

Liaise with architects, developers, and other key collaborators

Produce landscape plans, construction detailing, and documentation

Share knowledge and experience, helping to grow the next generation of designers

Skills and experience

10–15 years’ experience in landscape architecture or closely related fields

Degree qualified in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or aligned discipline

Strong design and conceptual skills with proven project experience

Excellent plant knowledge and ability to apply it in design

Solid knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and documentation

Familiarity with Australian Standards and Building Codes

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects

Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and visual

A passion for design and a genuine enthusiasm for landscape architecture
