About the role

As the Cafe Manager/Barista, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our charming cafe in the heart of the Southern Highlands. This full-time or part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a picturesque setting.

What you'll be doing

Manage all aspects of cafe operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting

Serve as the lead barista, ensuring consistently high-quality coffee and espresso drinks

Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales growth

Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and provide mentorship to the cafe team

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

Collaborate with the broader management team to support the overall success of the Southern Highlands Hospitality Collective

What we're looking for

Significant experience (3+ years) as a cafe manager or barista in a similar high-volume, fast-paced environment

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences

Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a track record of developing and motivating staff

Proficiency in operating and maintaining espresso machines and other cafe equipment

Excellent time management and problem-solving skills

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
