Administration Assistant

The Opportunity

Lit Consulting has an opportunity for a motivated and reliable person to join the Canberra team as Administration Assistant on an ongoing, part-time basis (20 hours per week).

We are a specialist consultancy, offering fire safety engineering services to the ACT and NSW. Our expertise extends across both public and private sectors within the built environment.

Under direction of the Operations and Account Managers, you will assist in the efficient functioning of the Canberra office through undertaking a range of financial, administrative and clerical tasks. These include:

Maintaining office functionality and presentation including ensuring sufficient office supplies and equipment and liaising with contractors when required.

Assisting in accounts receivable by preparing and issuing invoices and tracking payments.

Assisting with data management using Total Synergy project management software and Microsoft Excel to enter data and prepare reports.

Assisting in Work Health, Safety and Environmental (WHSE) reporting, communications, risk assessments and incident management where required.

Administrative or corporate experience is preferred but not essential. Australian work rights are required for this position.

A proactive and positive attitude with a focus on client service and responsiveness.

Organisational and time management skills.

Good communication skills – on the phone, in emails, and in person.

Ability to work in a team and take direction.

Pride in their work and is responsible and ethical.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability and willingness to learn to use other cloud-based platforms.
