We are currently seeking a Estimator to join our team and play a key role in securing and delivering projects across Victoria and beyond. As a part of this role, you will lead the preparation and submission of accurate, competitive tenders for civil and bulk earthwork projects. About the Role
As a Estimator, your initial responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation, review, and submission of tenders that maximise success and profitability.
- Identifying and assessing new tender opportunities, making informed bid/no-bid recommendations.
- Performing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and risk analysis.
- Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to secure the best value and minimise risk.
- Developing construction programs and producing high-quality tender documentation.
- Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure clear communication and project success.
About you
To be considered for this role the successful applicant must have:
- 3-5 years of proven estimating experience in civil construction, bulk earthworks, or related industries.
- Expertise in industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Project.
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously with strong organisational skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or significant equivalent experience).
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Valid working rights in Australia
