The Union Hotel is a Brunswick Institution. Home to good food, great beer, live music and a welcoming local community. We’re now looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and take our food offering to the next level.

About the role:

As Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for:

Leading, training and motivating our kitchen team

Designing seasonal menus that balance classics with fresh, creative specials

Managing kitchen operations, including ordering, rostering and cost management

Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation

Ensuring Compliance with food safety and OH&S standards

About you:

Has proven experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous role

Loves creating approachable, flavour-driven dishes with a modern pub/bistro influence

Can balance creativity with cost control and efficiency

Leads by example, with excellent communication and leadership skills

Thrives in a busy, fast paced service environment

Values teamwork and takes pride in mentoring other chefs
