Position: Mechanical Fitter – Aluminium Fuel Tanker Part Assembly
Location: Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs
Employment Type: 26-Week Contract with Potential for Permanent Placement
Hourly Rate: $58.50 + Superannuation
Travel Allowance: $27 Per Day
Payment Frequency: Weekly

About the Role:

TRS Resourcing seeks 1 x trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our client's day shift team. Our client is a national industry leader specialising in constructing, maintaining, and repairing fuel tankers and stainless steel tanker trailer equipment.

With a robust new and repeat business pipeline, they are expanding their workshop team to support ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install pneumatic air lines and mount components
• Install pumps and associated equipment
• Perform electrical fault-finding
• Service, repair, and maintain the fuel tanker fleet and associated equipment in compliance with relevant standards and road transport guidelines
• Interpret and work from workshop/engineering drawings
• Prioritise tasks effectively and work both independently and within a team

Requirements:

• Trade qualification in mechanical fitting
• Basic welding proficiency
• Own set of hand tools (specialist tools provided)
• Valid Australian work rights
• Current residence in Melbourne, VIC
• Two professional references from previous employers
