Our client, a market leader in manufacturing and designing premium custom trailer solutions, is seeking a Sectional Laser Leading Hand to join their high-performing team for an immediate start.

$52.30 hr + super

The Role: As the Sectional Laser Leading Hand, you will take a hands-on leadership role overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring safe and efficient CNC laser cutting processes. Duties will include:

• Leading daily pre-start meetings, assigning tasks, and providing clear direction to team members to maximise productivity
• Providing on-the-job leadership, training, and mentoring to operators, apprentices, and trades assistants
• Overseeing the setup, programming, and operation of CNC laser cutting machines to meet production targets
• Monitoring workflow, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring jobs stay on schedule
• Conducting quality inspections, verifying that all components meet technical specifications and fabrication standards
• Coordinating with production and maintenance teams to ensure machines are operating at peak performance and downtime is minimised
• Ensuring all safety protocols, documentation, and reporting requirements are followed

What do you require to be successful for this position?

• Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machinery in a production or fabrication environment
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and routine machine maintenance
• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience working with laser machinery
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership or leading hand position, with the ability to mentor and guide a team
• Valid forklift licence and practical experience operating overhead cranes
• Current WA driver’s licence and access to reliable transport
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Full working rights in Australia
• First Aid Certificate (highly regarded)
