Our client, a market leader in manufacturing and designing premium custom trailer solutions, is seeking a Sectional Laser Leading Hand to join their high-performing team for an immediate start.
Based in Forrestfield, this temp-to-perm positions offer excellent rates, a stable roster, and the opportunity to secure a long-term career with an industry leader.

Working 12-hour days (4 on 4 off Continuous Shift Roster with rotating day shift only)
$52.30 hr + super
The Role: As the Sectional Laser Leading Hand, you will take a hands-on leadership role overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring safe and efficient CNC laser cutting processes. Duties will include:
- Leading daily pre-start meetings, assigning tasks, and providing clear direction to team members to maximise productivity
- Providing on-the-job leadership, training, and mentoring to operators, apprentices, and trades assistants
- Overseeing the setup, programming, and operation of CNC laser cutting machines to meet production targets
- Monitoring workflow, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring jobs stay on schedule
- Conducting quality inspections, verifying that all components meet technical specifications and fabrication standards
- Coordinating with production and maintenance teams to ensure machines are operating at peak performance and downtime is minimised
- Ensuring all safety protocols, documentation, and reporting requirements are followed
What do you require to be successful for this position?
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machinery in a production or fabrication environment
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and routine machine maintenance
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience working with laser machinery
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership or leading hand position, with the ability to mentor and guide a team
- Valid forklift licence and practical experience operating overhead cranes
- Current WA driver’s licence and access to reliable transport
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Full working rights in Australia
- First Aid Certificate (highly regarded)
