Pearl Recruitment are actively seeking an experienced Leading Hand Fabricator for our well-established client who specialises in providing custom trailer solutions to the mining, construction and agricultural industries

Fabrication Leading Hand
DIDO 9:5 Roster, 6am - 6pm
Wheatbelt Region location (3hrs from Perth)
12 hr shifts (11.5 hrs paid daily)
Accommodation & Meals Provided
$66.72 hr + super

The Role: As the Leading Hand Fabricator, you will play a hands-on leadership role, supporting daily workshop operations and ensuring high-quality fabrication standards are met. Duties will include:

• Leading daily pre-start meetings and allocating tasks to team members to ensure clear direction and productivity
• Providing on-the-job leadership, mentoring, and hands-on support to Boilermakers, Apprentices, and Trades Assistants
• Monitoring job progress, resolve issues promptly, and keep workflows on schedule
• Conducting quality checks, support project handovers, and verify that all documentation meets required standards
• Accurately read and interpret workshop drawings of custom trailers and assemble components to specification

What do you require to be successful for these positions?

• Cert III in Engineering (Fabrication / Boilermaker trade) or equivalent
• Forklift license (desirable)
• Ability to pass a medical & drug and alcohol
• Current national police clearance or willing to provide
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven Leading Hand experience in a similar role
• Excellent punctuality, reliability and communication skills to safely lead team
