About the role
Brimble is seeking an experienced and motivated Rail Resurfacing Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will lead and support a team of Operator Maintainers in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality rail resurfacing projects.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day resurfacing operations, ensuring compliance with client and company standards, and providing technical and leadership expertise on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily activities for the dynamic resurfacing team during works projects.
Operate and maintain specialised rail resurfacing machinery to deliver high-quality results.
Complete all client and company forms, reports, and documentation accurately and on time
Supervise the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems on resurfacing equipment.
Provide mentorship to team members, fostering skill development and knowledge-sharing.
Respond to breakdowns and contribute to multi-trade operations to minimise downtime.
Travel to various project sites to support maintenance and operational needs.
Approve and manage staff leave requests, rosters, and timesheets.
About You
10+ years rail resurfacing experience.
A relevant trade qualification (electrical, mechanical or similar) OR Rail network Safeworking Qualifications (ARTC, UGL, etc.)
Strong supervisory skills with a hands-on approach and a proactive mindset.
Flexibility to travel to various locations and work a rotating roster, including overtime.
The ability to meet medical requirements to obtain and maintain CAT 1 Medical clearance.
Full C Class Driving Licence or higher with no restrictions
