Based out of Queanbeyan CDC Canberra operates route, school and charter services to the local community. A busy depot with a lot going on and a friendly team who all look out for each other. This vacancy is a parental coverage role until late 2026. Our team have a habit of hiring from within so the right candidate should be aiming to get a foot in the door and impress. It's a great opportunity to introduce yourself to the wider CDC team.
About the role
As a Charter Consultant, you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering high-quality charter services for our clients. In this full-time position you will be responsible for managing charter bus bookings, liaising with customers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our charter services.
What you'll be doing
Entering charter bookings into the charter system
Engage with our customers via calls and emails
Ensuring great customer service
Monitoring the charter system ensuring smooth operations and invoicing
Coordinate and schedule charter bus bookings, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and reliable service delivery
Maintain detailed records of charter bookings and customer interactions
Identify opportunities to improve the charter service experience and recommend process improvements
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a customer service or client-facing role
-Preferably within the public transport or logistics industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-You will be liaising with both customers and internal stakeholders
Excellent organisational and time management skills
-Juggling multiple charter bookings and client requests
Proficiency in using relevant software and systems
-Booking management and customer relationship management
A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and a commitment to continuous improvement

In July 2006, CDC acquired bus routes and assets of Holroyd Bus Lines Pty Ltd in the New South Wales' Metropolitan Region 3.
