This family-owned and operated 74-place childcare centre and kindergarten in Mordialloc has been delivering high-quality care and education across all age groups for over 20 years. With a strong local reputation, the centre is known for its warm, nurturing environment and commitment to excellence.
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you’ll play a key role in leading a team and creating engaging learning experiences, fostering strong family partnerships, and supporting the growth and development of children. You’ll provide care and education for up to 24 children at one time, aged 3–4 years old, helping them thrive in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Initiate, develop, drive and role model best practice throughout the service.
- Develop and oversee curriculum aligned with approved Learning Frameworks and service philosophy.
- Ensure room programs are current and accessible.
- Maintain learning documentation (stories, observations, portfolios) for every child.
- Provide each child with a developmental portfolio reflecting best practice.
- Set up and link Storypark accounts for all children and families.
- Act as Educational Leader if agreed with the Nominated Supervisor.
- Coordinate incursions, excursions, cultural events, parent evenings, open days, and community activities.
- Promote events to families and community; manage logistics and support.
We are seeking a ECT with strong communication and collaboration skills, who shares the team and centre’s passion and vision for high-quality education and care. You will lead a combined 3–4-year-old room, with the support of another experienced ECT and 2 Educators. Cultural fit is critical to maintaining positive relationships with families and staff. VIT registration (full or provisional) and several years of experience in the early childhood education sector is essential.
