Located in the heart of Byford, Kiln Ale House is a vibrant local pub known for its craft beers, rooftop

sessions, and crowd-pleasing menu—from Croc Tail Tacos to BBQ Share Platters. We're a community-

driven venue with a passion for great food, good vibes, and unforgettable experiences. As we grow,

we're looking for a talented Sous Chef ready to step up and eventually lead our kitchen.

The Role

This is more than just a kitchen job—it's a leadership pathway. You'll work closely with our Head Chef

to deliver high-quality meals, mentor junior staff, and help shape the future of our food offering.

Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily kitchen operations

• Maintain consistency and quality across all dishes

• Collaborate on seasonal menu development

• Train and supervise kitchen team members

• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards

• Assist with stock control and supplier management

You'll Bring

• 3+ years' experience in a busy kitchen, ideally as Sous Chef

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• A passion for pub-style food with flair

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent culinary qualification is required

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience specifically as a Sous Chef is required
