The Organisation: A leading Queensland government department is currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager for a P05 level role. This role is initially a temporary position for 6 months, with possibility of converting to perm or extending for the right candidate.

The Position:
Reporting into the Director of Financial Performance, this role will be diverse but will require you to be responsible for:

• Managing a team of 3 Finance Business Partners and helping to curate a culture of excellence and purpose
• Reviewing existing policies and procedures and implementing improvements
• Participating in regular monthly performance review meetings with Executive Directors and Senior Operational leadership teams to provide insight and analysis of financial and FTE performance and identify key risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Managing the preparation of regular full year forecasts for the relevant divisions identifying potential differences when compared to annual budget targets, and then developing recommendations to enhance financial performance and maintain overall budget integrity based on forecast results.

Your Profile:
