We’re a fast-growing Virtual CFO business providing outsourced finance and strategic advisory services to SMEs, start-ups and NFP organisations across Australia. Our fully remote team leverages cloud-based systems to deliver high-quality, timely and insightful financial management for our clients.

The Role

We’re seeking a Finance Manager to join our team on a casual, 4-days-per-week basis. You’ll oversee day-to-day finance operations and reporting across multiple clients, and support our Virtual CFOs in delivering strategic insights and business improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, board packs and financial reports for a portfolio of clients

Developing and maintaining cash flow forecasts, budgets and variance analyses

Overseeing accounts payable/receivable, payroll and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with ATO and ASIC requirements

Implementing and optimising cloud-based finance systems (Xero, Dext, ApprovalMax, AirWallex, Employment Hero etc.)

Liaising with auditors, tax agents and external advisors to ensure timely lodgements

Identifying process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance client outcomes

About You

Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance management or Virtual CFO services

Excellent knowledge of Australian payroll

Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud-based accounting tools

Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work independently across multiple engagements

Comfortable working in a flexible, part-time and fast-paced environment
