The Opportunity
They’re seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Townsville team, reporting directly to an industry leading Management Accountant. You’ll be analysing costs, supporting budgeting/forecasting and helping drive improved decision-making across a diverse and operationally focused business.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse job costing data and prepare insights for operational leaders

Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting

Assist with inventory control and month-end journals & reconciliations

Help with tax and compliance reporting for GST & BAS

Identify cost variances, track performance and contribute to cost-down initiatives

Provide day-to-day support to the Management Accountant and wider team

About You

Near completion or recently completed degree in Accounting/Business

Confident with Microsoft Excel; exposure to accounting software preferred

Strong analytical and numerical skills; comfortable working with data

Organised, reliable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Clear communicator who can work autonomously and in a team
