Assistant Accountant

Great opportunity to join a well-established organisation based in Hurstville. Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team.

Your new role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support day-to-day accounting operations and contribute to the financial integrity of the business. This is a full-time permanent position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Accounts payable and receivable processing
• Bank reconciliations and cash flow support
• Maintaining the general ledger and journal entries
• Supporting payroll and BAS preparation
• Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualifications in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years' experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or Finance Officer role
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Intermediate MS Office skills
• Ability to work in the office 5 days per week
