Manager, Retail Performance
We are looking for a senior retail manager to Join our retail operations team.
Our retail operations team oversees all store activities across our 11 sites.
The team’s goal is to boost profitability while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. They achieve this by managing staff, inventory, and processes, while also ensuring compliance with company policies.
The successful candidate will control inventory, develop sales strategies, train and manage staff, analyse sales performance data, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels, ensure product availability, and manage purchasing to optimise net profit.
• Sales and Profitability:
Develop and implement strategies to increase store sales and overall profitability.
• Performance Monitoring:
Analyze sales and store performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
• Vendor Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors while achieving the best outcome for the business.
• Staff Management:
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage staff to achieve operational goals and foster a positive work environment.
• Customer Satisfaction:
Maintain high standards of customer service, handle complaints effectively, and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Operations and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Promotional Activities:
Develop and execute promotions and in-store displays.
• Attendance at (and travel to) sites:
Visit sites to carry out the above responsibilities. As operations cover a wide geographical area, this will involve periodic travel (approx. every 2 months) to out of town locations.
Key requirements
• Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team effectively.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise between staff and management.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Customer Service: commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Experience: Extensive retail management experience (BM experience with a supplier is a plus!).
• Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field preferred but not necessary.
Remuneration:
A competitive Salary plus superannuation will be offered to the successful applicant.
The package also includes a company vehicle with fuel card, mobile phone, laptop, and home Internet.
