Located on Grevillea Street, we’re well known for our freshly baked pies, cakes, slices, great coffee. With a strong reputation for quality and friendly service, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to lead our team and support the continued success of our business.

About the Role
As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bakery, ensuring smooth takeaway service and an excellent customer experience. This is a hands-on role that combines team leadership, operational management, and a passion for retail food service.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring efficient takeaway and retail service

· Lead, train, roster, and support staff to maintain high standards of customer service and teamwork

· Implement and oversee operational policies and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards

· Monitor sales performance and bakery finances, including budgeting, cash handling, and financial reporting

· Manage stock levels and supplier relationships, including ordering, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely supply of quality ingredients and products

· Plan and execute marketing and promotional activities to attract customers and grow sales

· Respond to and resolve customer feedback or complaints in a professional and timely manner, maintaining Simmons Bakery’s reputation for excellent service

· Drive continuous improvement in operations, staff development, and customer experience

About You

Previous experience in a retail, bakery, or hospitality management role

Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop staff

Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

A customer-first mindset with strong communication abilities

Flexibility to work early mornings and Saturdays as required
