As pioneers of the combined hardware and landscape supply model, Steve Jones has grown to become one of Queensland’s largest resellers of bricks, pavers, and retaining wall blocks, earning a strong reputation for exceptional service, an extensive product range, and good old-fashioned customer care.

They have a newly created Sales Team Leader role offering a hands-on leadership position where you’ll guide and motivate the customer service team, ensuring smooth store operations and satisfied customers. It’s a role for someone who leads from the front and is comfortable pitching in, staying on top of things, and confidently directing others.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the customer service team on the floor
• Open and close the store, including daily banking and till balancing
• Train and support staff to deliver top-tier service
• Ensure the store is clean, well-stocked, and clearly priced
• Manage stock levels and conduct regular stocktakes
• Keep the team engaged, active, and aligned with daily goals
• Delegate tasks effectively and follow through on directives

What We’re Looking For

• A natural leader who’s present, proactive, and confident in giving direction
• Strong communication and people skills
• Background in retail, hardware, or landscaping supplies (advantageous)
• Comfortable in a busy, physical, outdoor environment
• A team player who values camaraderie and hard work
